How to Download and Install Horizon Client (macOS)

  1. Launch Safari or another web browser of your choice.

 

  1. Copy and paste the following URL:

    https://customerconnect.omnissa.com/downloads/info/slug/desktop_end_user_computing/omnissa_horizon_clients/8
     
  2. Click "GO TO DOWNLOADS"

  1. Click "DOWNLOAD NOW"

  1. Click "Allow" and wait for the download to finish.

  1. Click "Go"

  1. Click "Downloads"

  1. Double-click the .dmg file that was just downloaded.

  1. Double-click "Omnissa Horizon Client.pkg"

  1. Click "Continue"

  1. Click "Install for all users of this computer"

  1. Click "Continue"

  1. Click "Install"

  1. Enter your local username and password then click "Install Software"

  1. After installation, click "Close"

  1. You can remove the .dmg file if you'd like.

  1. Click "Applications" in the Downloads window sidebar.

  1. Double-click "Omnissa Horizon Client" to launch it.

  1. On this screen type https://myapps.case.edu then click 'Connect"

  1. and Click "Connect"

  1. Sign into the Case SSO.  You will get a Duo notification.

  1. Click 'Yes' if this is your device, if not, click no.

  1. Click "Continue" if this dialog pops up.

  1. Click "Allow"

  1. Click "OK" when this dialog box pops up.

  1. Click "Open System Settings"

  1. Click the "Omnissa Horizon Client" switch

  1. Enter your local user and password to save the changed system settings.

  1. After the changes are saved, you can click "Quit System Settings"

  1. Your Horizon client is now ready to use.

  1. Click a VDI or streamed application to get going!
