You can also use the Drive app to store files on your Android or iOS device. If you decide later to uninstall the app, your Drive files won’t be affected and can still be accessed from Drive on the web.

  1. Find and install the Google Drive app
  2. Open the app containing the file you want to upload, touch Share, and then touch Drive.

Drive File Stream

With Drive File Stream, you stream your Drive files directly from the cloud to your Mac or PC, freeing up disk space on your hard drive. Because Drive files are stored in the cloud, any changes you or your collaborators make are automatically updated everywhere. You’ll always have the latest version.
