Meta Horizon Admin Center - Setting up an App

  1. Navigate to work.meta.com:
  2. Once signed in:
  3. Navigate to Apps & content:
  4. Click on + Add app:
  5. Now you must choose how to add the app:
  6. Externally hosted (Apps hosted outside Meta):
  7. You will need to fill in each location fully.
  8. PLEASE NOTE: For the Link location it must be a location that is public facing and triggers a direct download.  A google share on our network for example with the file inside is not sufficient to do this.
  9. If you don’t have it correct, it will look like this:
  10. Think of this as the equivalent of a .exe file with all the areas needing to be filled out manually, vs a .msi that auto fills the areas for you.  You will see right away if it works or does not.  So in the above example there are a number of areas needing editing because the file path isn’t set up to allow the direct download in a public share.
  11. If you have it correct, it will look like this:
  12. Notice in each example the Expansion Files and the hash are not necessary.
  13. Meta hosted (Apps shared with your organization by developers)
  14. We have not utilized this type of setup, but it assumes you can contact the developer to setup the app for you in your console.

Meta Horizon Store app (Apps available in the Meta Horizon Store):

If the app you are looking for is available in the Meta Horizon Store, then it can be found here.  Please note that this is not the Android store or the public store that shows on the Devices themselves.  This is more like a private or corporate store.  There are some crossovers but not all.  For example you will not find games listed herein that would be available for an individual device in a personal setup.

  • Apps such as CWRUXR and Teo are available here.
  • Once you have the apps listed in this section, they are available to assign to the preset of your choice.  To assign them to a preset it is easiest to do that assignment through the device presets area under devices.
