Tags onbase

This article provides information for staff and faculty on accessing OnBase, account creation, training, and requesting permissions.

For OnBase access requests, email help@case.edu with Attn: OnBase Support in the subject line.

Available OnBase Training

  • General OnBase Access: Staff and faculty requesting OnBase permissions should complete the OnBase Training Course before requesting access.

  • Accounts Payable: Users who will be indexing invoices for Accounts Payable should also complete the Accounts Payable Training Course.

Account Creation

Your OnBase account is automatically created the first time you log in using your Case credentials. However, account creation does not automatically grant access to OnBase documents, forms, or other functionality. Additional permissions must be requested as outlined below.

Requesting Workflow & Document Access Permissions

Access to OnBase documents and workflows must be requested by the appropriate business process owner, who may or may not be the employee's manager or supervisor.

Business Process Owners

When submitting an access request, please provide the following information for each user:

  1. First and last name (no nicknames)

  2. Case Network ID

  3. Employment type (student, temporary, or regular employee)

  4. Requested OnBase role or the name of an existing user whose permissions should be copied

Employees

If you need additional OnBase permissions, contact your manager or supervisor to identify the appropriate business process owner. The business process owner must submit the access request on your behalf.
