Requirements
In order to use Department ID on a printer, the printer itself must be configured to accept Department ID's. Reach out to the Service Desk if you need to enable this functionality.
Using Department ID From a Windows Computer
1. Depending on which Application you are printing from you may take a different path to get to the Printer Properties
From a Windows App
(Word, Excel, PPT etc.)
Click on FILE Print.. Then Printer Properties

From Adobe
(And some other Apps)
Click the Print Icon.. Then Properties

From WEB Apps
(Google Docs etc.)
Shift + Ctrl + P Then Preferences

2. Select the Device Settings Tab and locate Department ID Management (or User Management depending on version)

3. Click on Settings, and the Department ID/PIN Settings will appear

- Department ID: Enter the Department ID (The Number portion of your speedtype)
- PIN: Leave Blank
- Confirm Department ID/PIN when Printing: UN-check
- Click OK
*Note: if you are unable to use the Department ID feature after it has been activated then the printer(s) will need to be uninstalled and reinstalled to make the Department ID feature available.
