Recent Releases
- The new LMS Filter in Media Details Page Analytics allows instructors and administrators to easily narrow analytics results to a specific Canvas course where the media item is used. With this filter, you can quickly view engagement and performance data in the context of a single course, making it easier to understand how students in that course are interacting with your media.
- AskEcho Artificial Intelligence tool is now available! Instructors can utilize AskEcho to generate video descriptions, chapters, and titles. See this guide for more information on AskEcho at CWRU.
- The UserWay widget is now available to all users. The widget enhances EchoVideo's accessibility by embedding features like larger text, high-contrast mode, cursor modifications, dyslexia friendly options, and so much more. This integration allows users to customize their viewing experience, ensuring that EchoVideo is inclusive and user-friendly for individuals with diverse needs. By improving accessibility, the widget helps all users interact with content more effectively and comfortably.
March 19, 2025
- A fi has been released to address the disappearing controls of the Echo360 video player. Users can now select the gear icon at the bottom right of the Echo360 video player to lock the controls. This change will remain persistent across a user's Echo360 sessions.
March 10, 2025
- A minimum duration of one minute has been implemented for Zoom Cloud recordings that are automatically uploaded to Echo360. If you have a Zoom Cloud recording that is less than one minute, you will need to manually download the recording and upload it to Echo360.
- The Live Player has been redesigned to provide a better experience for your instructors and students alike. This includes new default views for In-Person or Remote viewers that focus on the individual use cases for each type of participant.
January 13, 2025
- Echo360 will implement a six month deletion policy for any deleted content in Echo360. Users will have six months from the time an item is deleted to recover that item from their Echo360 Recycle Bin.
