Salesforce - How to Change Display Density

Display Density is a Salesforce Lightning Experience setting that controls the amount of white space on your screen.  Every user can toggle this setting to suit their preference.

  • Having an active user account, log into Salesforce with SSO

Issues/Questions

How do I change the amount of white space on my Salesforce pages?

  1. Navigate to the top right of your screen and click on your profile picture/avatar
  2. Under Display Density select Comfy or Compact and then confirm <Refresh Now> 
    • By default your display is set to Comfy
    • Field labels for the Comfy setting are above the field values
    • The Compact setting allows for up to 30% more information to be seen on your screen
    • ​Field labels for the Compact setting are on the left side of the field value
