Toll-free and Call Out/Call Me minutes used in Zoom meetings are billed back to the university. Because of this the default settings is to not display toll-free phone numbers.
I am not seeing the toll free number in my meetings, but I need to include one. What do I do?
If you have not had access to a toll-free number in Zoom meetings in the past, but feel you need to include a toll-free number in some of your meetings, please contact the UTech Service Desk at 368-4357 or help@case.edu to request that toll-free be added to your Zoom account. Please note, there is usually no additional charge to participants for using the toll phone numbers, as most cell phone and many landline plans have unlimited talk minutes.
I used to have a Call Out/Call Me option for my Zoom meetings and I still need it. How do I get it back?
Call Out/Call Me
When the "Call Out/Call Me" option is on for a Zoom account, meeting participants get an option to have Zoom call them to join the audio for a meeting. This results in per minute phone charges for the university, so this option is off by default for all CWRU Zoom accounts. Users have the option to join via computer/device audio or to call into the meeting using a provided toll number. If you feel that you require an exception due to your unique Zoom work requirements, please contact the UTech Service Desk at 368-4357 or help@case.edu to request that Call Out/Call Me be added to your Zoom account.
