Unsubscribe or leave a group using Google Groups
You can stop getting email from a group by changing your settings or leaving the group.
- Sign in to Google Groups.
- Locate the group, and choose an option:
- To stay in the group but stop getting email, for Subscription, click the displayed option then select No email.
- To leave the group and stop getting email, click Leave group, then Yes, leave group.
Unsubscribe and leave a group using email
Users can unsubscribe from a Google Group by sending an email address to the group as follows: <group-name>+unsubscribe@case.edu . If the group is configured appropriately, you will be removed and there will be a confirmation message indicating you have been unsubscribed from the mailing list.
For the programmatically populated Google Groups which users are not permitted to unsubscribe from, the best way to stop getting messages is to request the manager of the group to set the delivery option to "No mail" for the user's membership entry in that Group.
